XML Travel Interface for the Hotel Booking Engine

|

ENHANCE YOUR SITE AND INCREASE YOUR PROFITS WITH XML
|
In addition to the standard HTML format, WCT's online hotel booking engine may also be powered by XML
programming. XML (Extensible Markup Language) encoding is an efficient way of organizing and formatting
data. This interface allows you to customize the hotel booking engine in ways that standard HTML cannot
do.
Using XML technology, you can create a flexible, modern travel site with your own look and feel without having to invest in costly and complicated design plans. Our
powerful interface enables you to fully customize search forms and results pages. Through increased
functionality and flexibility and an improved appearance, you will be able to sell with a competitive
edge not found on many other travel booking sites.

AN ADVANCED SOLUTION: XTRA (XML FOR TRAVEL)
|
For our Partners who are capable of programming in XML, we offer our XTra (XML for Travel)
interface. With XTra implemented, your hotel booking engine has instant access to our raw data inventory
and booking capabilities in our Published Rate (GDS) and extensive merchant rate hotel room inventory systems. Sites with our
XTra interface create hotel requests formatted in XML encoding. Requests are then sent to our servers
for processing with responses returned in XML. Your XTra-powered site can interpret this data and
transform it into a customized results page, with a format and layout of your own design. Your customers
can then make informed decisions in an attractive, efficient booking environment. With XTra, all of the
links reside on your own server and do not reference WCT's IP address or brand. This is crucial for
effective indexing of your site in search engines.
Please note that XTra is not for every partner. The key to successful implementation of our XTra
interface is having access to a technical staff capable of customizing your web application. There is no
cost for using our XTra XML solution, but your site should be able to implement and run custom web
applications (Java, Cold Fusion, Visual Basic, Perl, etc.). In addition to skills associated with the
programming language used to develop your current web application, a good understanding of how XML works
is needed. You should also have a static IP address for the server using the XTra interface. Our
experienced team will provide the technical specifications and work closely with you on understanding
and implementing a smoothly functioning system.
